I made this for a swap. I used quilled flowers to embellish it. The background picture shows Sigiriya of which you can find a description below.

Sigiriya (Lion's rock) is a large stone an ancient rock fortress and palace ruin in the central of Sri Lanka surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs, and other structures. A popular tourist destination, Sigiriya is also renowned for its ancient paintings (Frescos) which are reminiscent of the Ajanta Caves of India. It is one of the seven World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka. It's also declared by the UNESCO as the 8th Wonder of the world.

  1. Oh, this one is very pretty! Good idea to make the flowers and the leaves with two-color paper, it gives depth to your design. Again, thank you for sharing info about these special landmarks!

  2. Thank you Manuk. I used 3 shades of purple for this flower..
